The Book of Illusions - Paul Auster Yes, some of the film descriptions were long; yes, Auster seems a bit too in love with himself as a writer at times. Despite that, I really enjoyed this book.

I'm a bit of a sucker for stories that intertwine and are wrapped up in each other, and grew attached to David and Hector. They were both deeply wounded and deeply flawed, but I couldn't help but become attached to them and want things to work out for them in the end.
